Your own personal wellbeing

With so many things to think about it’s easy to forget about ourselves, here are 5 ways to take care of your own “well- being”.

Spread the word

We are the “having to do it all” generation of women.  We have to juggle so many roles including being a parent, carer for elderly parents, working not to mention the cooking, cleaning and daily running around.  In England, women are almost twice as likely to be diagnosed with anxiety than men (Mental Health Foundation), the UK has the 62nd highest rate of anxiety disorder in the world. (Our World in Data).

5 ways to help your well-being:

  1. Start with small changes. Sometimes when we say we are going to do things to help ourselves they are so big we find it unachievable and hard to sustain.  A small change can have a big effect.  Grab a few minutes to read a book or magazine, do a bit of gardening, go for a walk and listen to a podcast, give yourself a manicure.  Anything that carves out a bit of time for you.
  2. Connect with others, chatting to a good friend or joining a group helps to build emotional support and will give you a sense of belonging and self-worth.
  3. CBD can help. In a study by J Londeree Saleska, of 2816 people, 94% of female, found that those in the group that were given CBD over a 4-week timeframe reported that well-being, anxiety, sleep and pain significantly improved. That must be good news!  Try our Massage body oil with CBD and lavender to help you relax especially at night.
  4. Pay attention to the present moment rather than thinking about the future or in some cases the past. Think about your thoughts, feeling and the world around you, in the present moment, to help you understand yourself better.  Mantras and affirmations are a great way to bring about positive changes to yourself and your life. Write them out on cards, place them at the side of your bed, they will be the first thing you see and recite in the morning and last thing at night.  Taylor’s CBD likes,

  1. Be physically active, it’s not only good for your health but also helps you to raise your self-esteem. You don’t need to run a marathon or even pump iron, but just going outdoors and walking is better than being stuck at home. You can get a double whammy of feeling good if you play a sport with a friend, a game of badminton or squash doesn’t have to be championship level but bonds you to another and you can laugh along the way.
